Wild Rocket at Misty’s Microbrewery

Wild Rocket at Misty’s is a popular restaurant in the main street of Montville, known for a commitment to using the best of local produce and changing the menu regularly to make the most of the freshest seasonal produce.

As if he wasn’t busy enough running a restaurant, Wild Rocket’s owner and head chef, Peter Brettell branched out into brewing a few years ago.  Regular craft beers at the Wild Rocket microbrewery include a Smooth Ale, a Stout, a Pilsner and and a Pale Ale; all would be perfectly matched with the Australian game charcuterie platter including crocodile cakes, kangaroo proscuitto and wild boar sausage.  Or for the traditionalist, the Ploughmans Lunch with a sublime pate and Wild Rocket’s own pork pies.

Brouhaha Brewery

Don’t be put off by Brouhaha’s location in a medical complex; the deck at the back has a delightful valley view that goes perfectly for a few quiet craft beers.

Lots of fruit flavours here; the Saison seems to be the beer of the season at this microbrewery with light fruity spicy flavours including strawberries, apple, pear and even rhubarb. So drink up; it’s good for you! The Brouhaha restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with a pensioners’ lunch special on weekdays.

If you have the Wagyu Beef, you might be pleased to know it was fed on barley mash produced as a by-product of Brouhaha’s brewing process. Paddock to plate with a quick snifter at the brewery!
