Getaway to Montville for Easter or the school holidays

Montville and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland are beautiful in autumn so it’s no wonder that Easter and the school holidays are a popular time to visit.

If you’re looking for accommodation in Montville over Easter, we have availability from Easter Sunday onwards with two-night midweek packages from $580 and three-night stays from $810 for weekend and midweek stays.

You’ll need to book on our online reservation system or call us on (07) 5442 9186 because you won’t find these rates on third-party sites – no matter what they say about finding you the cheapest rates! And our website is the only place where you’ll find all of our cottages.

Once your accommodation is booked, you’ll have time to think about things to do in Montville, Maleny and around the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Art galleries and exhibitions in Montville and Maleny

While you’re in Montville, call into Montville Art Gallery or Illume Creations.

In Maleny, we like Art on Cairncross, Peace of Green Gallery and Maleny Art Direct.

And on the Montville Village Green, St Mary’s Hall is hosting an exhibition by the Blackall Range Visual Artists from March 30 to April 8.

And on April 21 and 22, Montville Village Hall will be bursting at the seams with beautifully crafted handmade things to brighten up your life.

Restaurants and food festivals

If you’re visiting at Easter, the Kenilworth Cheese Wine and Food Festival is on March 31.

Our cottages have kitchen facilities but it’s more fun to dine out.

Here’s a short-list of local dining choices.

Montville Café Bar Grill is a good all-rounder with a courtesy pick-up service for dinner. Open seven nights.

Wild Rocket at Mistys has a focus on seasonal and local produce.  Open every night except Wednesday. Also has a pick-up service.

Altitude offers modern Australian cuisine at the top of Montville’s Main Street. Open every night except Tuesday. Has a pick-up service for dinner.

For a special occasion, The Long Apron at Spicers Clovelly Estate specialises in degustation dining. Here’s a link to the menu.

Also in Montville’s Main Street are a little BYO Italian restaurant called Bella Cucina and  The Gypsy’s Table.

For lunch, Flame Hill Vineyard has a good restaurant and is just up the road from our cottages; and Secrets Cafe is a tree-top cafe at the bottom of Narrows Road.
